Xiubo Han

Xiubo HanOn the early morning of November 23, 2024, Xiubo Han passed away at the PeaceHealthSouthwest hospital, surrounded by loved ones.Xiubo led a full life, beginning from humble origins of a rural village in China. He was born onNovember 3rd, 1934, to parents Cai Jinzhi and Han Xixian in the city of Baoding. Xiubo lost hisfather in the Battle of Taierzhuang, when he was just 3 years old; his mother raised him and hisbrother on her own. Xiubo started working in Beijing at 15 years old. After the dust settled fromthe second world war, Xiubo invested half his monthly income into education, bringing himselfup from an unfinished elementary education to a high school diploma while managing a busywork life. From there, he was admitted into university, where he met and bonded with his futurewife. After nearly 3 years of studying together, they married and shared many journeys togetherfor 63 years. He was always humble and observant, ready to do what it takes to help his factorysucceed. He carried that same energy into his family, where his presence has always been fullof warmth and kindness.In his spare time, Xiubo took up gardening, square dancing, ballroom dancing, and martial arts.He approached hobbies with scientific rigor and intellectual curiosity, even managing to growand witness the blooming of a rare plant. In the US, Xiubo continued to grow beautiful plantswherever he stayed, and instilled beautiful values of love and kindness into his grandchildren.He enjoyed multi-hour long walks all across towns and cities well into his 80's, spanning fromthe East to West coast of the US, and across many areas of Canada as well. His many storiesfrom his daily walks give solace to the family, as his memories remain strong and fond for all ofus.Xiubo lived his life as one of the kindest and most benevolent people. Time after time, he putshis own interests below that of others, and spent his whole life helping those in need with all hisheart. He exuded kindness, and brought happiness and warmth to everyone he met throughouthis life; if there are angels in this world, he is sure to be one of them.Xiubo was loved by all, and especially cherished by family. His lessons of kindness andgratitude would be remembered through his family, his many flourishing plants cared for bygrandmother and family too. He raised 3 kind daughters, and lovingly helped the growth of 5wonderful grandchildren. Xiubo left many warm moments and happy memories to the family.We will forever remember his bright, sparkling eyes, and his kind, warm smile; we will rememberhim in our hearts forever. He will be dearly missed, with love.
