Shannon was the beloved wife of Joe, her partner in life and love for 46 years, including 43 years of marriage. Together, they built a life rooted in commitment, faith, and devotion—a steady and enduring bond that served as a model of lifelong partnership. She was a devoted mother to her three daughters, Ashley, Brittany, and Julianne, and a proud and adoring grandmother to Layne and Olivia. Becoming a grandmother was a dream come true for Shannon. Born the fifth of seven children, Shannon shared a close bond with her siblings, especially Dianne, Daneen, Shirley, and Steve. Family was at the center of her life, and those relationships remained a source of strength and connection throughout her years. At her core, Shannon was deeply nurturing—a caregiver in every sense of the word. She had a rare gift for making people feel safe, seen, and loved. Her warmth was steady and reassuring, her presence calm and constant, as proven through her over 20 years in the childcare industry. She ran an in-home childcare business, opening not just her home but her heart to dozens of children. Families trusted her completely, knowing their children were in a place filled with care, patience, and kindness. She didn’t just raise her own children—she helped raise so many others. Her faith in Christ was not just something she believed—it was something she lived out daily through her care for others. In her illness, her faith became a source of peace and resilience, sustaining her through even the hardest days. Shannon faced her illness with remarkable quiet strength.
