Rosaly Charlotte Divens

It is with great sadness that the family of Rosaly (Bauer) Divens of Vancouver, WA announce her passing on June 3, 2024, at the age of 83 following a protracted illness. Born in Portland, OR, to Swiss immigrants Eugene "Shorty" and Clara Bauer, Rosaly's journey began on the family dairy farm alongside her younger sister, Nancy Troyer. After graduating Salutatorian from Woodland High School, she pursued higher education at Lower Columbia College and Washington State University, where she earned a BA in Business Administration. At WSU, she found not only academic success but also a lifelong companion in Merle Divens. Their 60-year marriage began in Zurich, Switzerland in 1963. Together, they raised two children, Marcus Divens and Kathleen Hall, who were the pride and joy of their lives. Rosaly was also blessed with four adoring grandchildren: Katie Hall, Adam Divens, Kris Hall, and Elise Divens. Throughout her career as an Accountant, Rosaly's hard work and dedication served various small businesses and individuals. In 1978, she and Merle founded Divens Enterprises in Clark County, WA building houses and customizing homes for many families. Upon retiring, she redirected her vibrant spirit towards travel throughout the States and abroad and the simple joys of spending time with her grandchildren. Rosaly approached all she did with enthusiasm and boundless energy. Her active involvement in numerous organizations, often in a leadership role, contributed to the community around her. She was gifted in creative and artistic pursuits, enjoyed researching genealogy, reveled in camping and fishing adventures, and cheered on the WSU Cougars football team. Her greatest joy came from hosting gatherings where hugs and laughter flowed freely, surrounded by her cherished sister, in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. In celebration of her remarkable life, her family invites all who knew and loved her to a Memorial on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 2-6 pm at Heathman Lodge, Fort Vancouver Ballroom, 7801 NE Greenwood Dr, Vancouver, WA 98662. Interment will follow on Monday, June 24, 2024, at 12 pm in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Arlington West In honor of Rosaly's compassionate spirit, the family suggests donations to CurePSP or St Jude Children's Research Hospital in lieu of flowers. Rosaly's legacy of love and generosity will continue to touch lives for years to come.
