Obituary For Michael John King Michael John King, of Vancouver, Washington, age 61, passed away peacefully on December 2nd, 2021 with his wife and children at his side. Mike was born on June 15, 1960 in Butte, Montana and attended Butte High School class of '78. He then studied Electronics at Northern Montana College and received his Bachelors degree in 1994. Mike married his best friend and love of his life, Nicala Rae King (Wolfe) on December 5th, 1998. Together they have raised wonderful and caring children, instilling values of kindness, acceptance, and charity to others. Mike was a loving and devoted father to his sons Joseph King, Aaron Fouts, Paul King, and helped raise Gavin McCaleb. He is survived by his daughters Jessie Warren (Andre) and very recently and joyfully connected with his daughter, Casey Parsons of Cumberland, British Columbia. He has three delightful granddaughters, Zoe, Addison and Eleanor. Whether biological, step, adopted, or fostered, Mike declined to use labels and instead just referred to them all as,"his kiddos." Mike is also survived by his mother Elizabeth "Sally" Rose King of Butte, MT, brother James King (Linda) of Springcreek, NV and sisters Deborah (Mike) Kalarchik of Phillipsburg, MT, Margaret "Peggy" (John) White, of Colstrip, MT, Sally Wedlake (Greg) of Lake Havasu City, AZ, and Jennifer Petritz (Eric) of Colstrip, MT. He has numerous nieces and nephews with whom he adored and enjoyed sharing his love for music with. He is predeceased by his father Edward "Bud" King and brother Paul Gerard King. Mike started his career in the early days of cellphone technology and worked as a construction engineer, most recently with Verizon. He enjoyed his work, however, his true passion had always been music. He traveled around performing in bands during his younger years and enjoyed building, repairing, and collecting guitars. Mike donated his time, talents, and instruments and loved attending classic rock concerts. He was always ready with a kind word, encouragement, and gave the best advice. Mike played electric and acoustic guitar, base, and keyboards. He mixed his own music and vocals in his home studio as a"One Man Band." He didn't need much and wanted very little - a guitar to strum, a chair to rock in, his dog Blu, his kids, and listening to classic rock. He loved whole-heartedly and was greatly loved in return. The family is having a service and Celebration of Life on Saturday, December 18th at Evergreen Memorial Gardens 1101 N.E. 112th Avenue, Vancouver, Washington 98684 at 12:30 pm.
