Mary Jane Haro

Mary Haro a beloved Daughter, Wife, Mother, Grandma . Mary grew up in Portland, Oregon graduating from Madison High School in 1974, Today and everyday we will remember Mary for the crafts she did, from cross stitch to crochet. She also loved to sew and make dresses. She was married to Robert Haro for nearly 32 years. They met at a blockparty and it was love at first sight. They shared many memories together and loved traveling to the Oregon Coast. They had 2 daughters Lisa, and Jojo who Mary was so proud of, Always talking about the accomplishments her girls achieved and always being there for both girls whenever she needed them. Always using this quote "Just do the best you can, that is all anyone can ask for" Once Lisa got married Mary gained a son in law James, It took some time before either of them knew for sure how to handle each other as the personality but once some time passed they shared a laugh often. She also has 4 beautiful grandkids aged 6-12, who called her Nana. She enjoyed the days where she would watch them after school and occasionally on a weekend for a sleep over, But that was her Nana time and boy did she make the best of it. She also was there to help in a pinch when Lisa didn't know what to do or to help guide through the kids misbehaving you could always pick up the phone and have her do a "Nana Talk" and then the kids would start listening and doing what was asked it just took her encouragement to get it done. Mary was a Homemaker and took care of her own two girls while doing in-home daycare for some close friends, those once little kids have always referred to her as their second mom because they knew that she would always be there for them. Mary was a fighter, she survived kidney cancer followed by two rounds of Breast cancer and Stage 4 liver and pancreatic cancer. We all know that because of her fight she was able to fight all the previous diagnoses but that last one was so sudden and unexpected. Mary always had a kind heart and will be remembered for her ability to help, support and encourage all of those around her. She will be missed dearly!
