Lesli L LaRue

Lesli Lyn LaRue was born on September 27, 1972 to Larry & Lorraine LaRue in Portland, OR. Lesli grew up in Vancouver, WA in an area called Cascade Park, an area she was so fond of that she remained there for the rest of her life. She did like to travel occasionally, her favorite spots to vacation were an oceanfront room at the Oregon coast (Lincoln City), and The Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. Lesli's son, Aidan, was her pride and joy. She was so proud of the sweet, old soul her son had, and got such a kick out of the grown-up things he would say. Lesli was a very hard worker, working in the restaurant business as a hostess and then a server starting when she was 14 years old. When she turned 21 she became a bartender, a position she absolutely loved. She loved her regulars, and they loved her.They loved her great smile, friendly personality, and her no nonsense way of tending her bar. There was a time when she tried more of the office job setting, working for The State of Oregon and for Harder Mechanical, but she eventually returned to her love of bartending. When the service industries closed for COVID it was very hard on Lesli, as not working was something she was totally unfamiliar with. That time took a toll on her, mentally and physically. Lesli, admittedly, really enjoyed drinking spirits, and that time not working had her enjoying those spirits quite a bit more than usual. That is what ultimately led to her untimely passing, as her liver got very sick and caused other organs and eventually her whole system to shut down.Lesli was preceded in death, only 3 short months ago, by her father, Larry D. LaRue. She is survived by her fiancé, Ted Ramey; son, Aidan Ramey; mother, Lorraine LaRue; brother, Darrel LaRue; niece, Grace LaRue; and many close family and friends. Services for Lesli will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens on Saturday, January 29th at 12:30pm, with reception to follow in their hospitality room. If you are so inclined, we would love to shower the chapel there with flowers and balloons, since she loved both of those. Lesli loved Hawaiian flowers and her Las Vegas Raiders, so incorporating those would be awesome. We will be putting Lesli's ashes in a wall niche at Evergreen Memorial Gardens near her good friend Denise "Niecy".
