Gregory A. Willhite

Gregory Allen Willhite was called home by our Heavenly Father on June 6, 2025. Greg was born in Ventura, California on October 22, 1960 to Ken and Angela Willhite and spent his younger years in California and Utah. After high school, Greg enlisted in the United States Army and was proud to be a veteran and to serve his country. Greg then moved to Salem Oregon where he worked for SAIF Corporation as a Computer Engineer and retired at the age of 58. After retirement, Greg went to work as a school bus driver for First Student for the Battleground School District. Greg made lifelong friends at both SAIF and First Student. Greg made friends easily and was always kind and greeted everyone with a huge smile. Later in his life, Greg met the love of his life Tina, whom he married on the Columbia Sternwheeler on a beautiful sunny day in June 2007. They were married for 18 years and built a wonderful life together in Vancouver WA. He loved traveling in his RV with his wife and their two Sheltie dogs as well as flying to different locations for new adventures. Greg was a star gazer and loved to take pictures of the stars on his custom telescope to post on his stargazing website that he created. He had a wide range of hobbies that included scuba diving, wood working, growing blueberries and making the best homemade jams and jellies that he gave to family and friends. Greg was a loving father to his only son TJ, and a fun loving grandpa to his grandsons Trevor and Colton. Greg loved all adventures with his son that included rafting in the summer as well as cheering on his grandsons in their respective sports. Greg is survived by his wife Tina Willhite, his son Timothy James Willhite (Carly), his grandsons Trevor and Colton, his parents Ken and Angela Willhite, his brother David Willhite (Vicki), his sister Tricia Willhite Farr (Tim), and extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rest in peace sweet Greg. We all love you and will miss you and your smile. A celebration of life will be held Saturday September 6th 2025 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Elks Lodge located at 11605 SE McGillivray Blvd. Vancouver WA 98683. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local Humane Society.
