Gerald Ethan Bradford

Gerald "Jerry" Ethan Bradford, 72, of Washougal, Washington, passed away on September 5, 2023. Jerry was born on March 27, 1951, in Pendleton, Oregon, to Ethan and Lillian Gardner Bradford. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lilian and Ethan Bradford, his sister Brenda Ferrier, brother Thomas Bradford and stepson Jacob Dreyer. Jerry was a loving husband to Cheri Bradford and a devoted father to his children, Lara Bradford Scarberry, Ryan Bradford, and Danette Wolford. He was a proud grandfather to Asher, Caleb, and Issac Bradford, and step-grandfather to Nicholas, Cody, and Allison Dreyer. Jerry is survived by his wife Cheri, sister Eileen VanTassel, brother Timothy Bradford, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews Jerry had a heart for those less fortunate than him and was always willing to help when able. He worked hard throughout his life to provide for his family, often taking care of nieces and nephews in need of family care. Jerry had a successful career in Information Technology, primarily at Daimler Corporation, where he worked as a Computer Programmer, Systems Analyst, and Team Manager. He even had the opportunity to manage a team in Mexico City for two years. Outside of work, Jerry had a passion for flying. He became a licensed pilot at an early age and enjoyed flying a small plane whenever possible. His love for aviation inspired his son Ryan to pursue a career in the Air Force; Jerry was extremely proud of him. Jerry also had a fondness for dogs raising and training many of them throughout his life. Jerry was a member of Riverside Seventh-day Adventist Church. Services to celebrate Jerry's life will be held at Riverside Seventh-day Adventist Church located at 463 North Shepherd Road in Washougal, Washington, on November 19, 2023, at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association (lbda.org). This organization provides information, support for caregivers, and scientific research to families impacted by this disease.Also in lieu of flowers, Peace Health Hospice was crucial in assisting the family to honor Jerry's wish to pass away in the comfort and serenity of home. Jerry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His kindness, dedication, and love for his family will always be remembered.
